Community Service

I have had the pleasure of frequently volunteering at the JUF (Jewish United Fund) Uptown Cafe, a restaurant-style kosher kitchen that serves people in need. Over the years, I’ve loved getting the chance to meet so many unique individuals that have come to the cafe, and hear their stories. Additionally, for the past three years, I’ve volunteered as an assistant teacher (Madrichim) at Chicago Sinai Congregation. Every Sunday morning, I help lead the 1st and 2nd grade Sunday school class through various activities and prayers. I’m extremely grateful for having the opportunity to be a positive role model in the lives of so many young Jewish students, as I looked up to my Madrichim when I was a student at Sunday school.

As a frequent visitor to Greece, I have been involved in volunteering at a recycling facility. This has helped me enhance my connection to the country of my mother’s family.
